Latest PIM Updates
At PIMInto we are always making improvements and adding features that make our PIM easier to use and more powerful. Below are listed the latest changes that we have made and added to the help documentation.
Menu Improvements - We have made some minor menu changes to include text and icons on menus to make it easier for our users to identify what specific buttons do. Additionally we have moved, and will be moving menus in an effor to reduce the amount of scrolling, mouse or swipe movements required to perform actions.
Pin Attributes - You can now pin attributes to the top and/or left by clicking the "pin" icon next the an attribute name. This will pin the attribute to the top of the edit page or to the leftmost columns in spreadsheet view. Pinning allows you to select what attributes you want to make available for view or editing without requiring scrolling.
AI MCP / Skills - All paid plans can easily use the Model Context Protocol or AI Skill to access, import, export, update, modify, delete, change the format of, or enrich data virtually without limitations. With MCP and Skill you can now use natural language from within external supported 3rd party AI's such as Anthropic's "Claude" to access and manipulate your data. No longer are you restricted by your PIMs ability to connect to 3rd party systems, restricted to using only the internal AI capabilities. required to define complex connections and rules. Now you can use natural plain text sentences and language to generate instructions to your AI and generate input, output, according to your needs and even share data with other external systems that support the MCP standard.
Context Help - Context sensitive help and visual ques have bee added to the user interface to assist the user in determining what each individual screen is for and what the expected result will be once a user complete specific actions. The goal is to provide an easy to use consistent user interface that allows users to perform tasks easily.
Un-link Variant - Allows you to easily remove a specific product variant from a product family by clicking the un-link button in the list of product variants that are currently defined for each product family.
Import Categories - Categories can be easily imported and nested from excel spreadsheets making it very easy to import categories from other PIM systems.
Export Categories - In the case where lists of available categories are required in an excel spreadsheet, the export categories feature allows a user to quickly export the category data.
Data import improvements - Our latest improvements include optimized import speed for large product catalogs along with detailed import logs available after each import. Status updates are displayed at each step of the import process. Additionally, attribute validation catches errors before the import completes. Import Rollback now allows for the roll back of the entire import, or even the rollback of one or more specific attributes and not the entire import.
Reassign Parent - Reassign a product variants parent with the click of a button.
Bulk Assets - Better management and assignment of bulk image an digital asset import with faster processing times.
Predefined Attributes - The Add attribute functionality defaults to displaying a list of common attributes that can easily be added to your PIM with the click of a button.
