PIM Users and Access Groups

 

In the PIMInto Product Information Management System (PIM), user management and access control are fundamental to maintaining the security, integrity, and usability of product data. Central to this system are Access Groups and roles, which together define what a user can see and do within the PIM data editing interface and API.

 

Access Groups are a crucial component in PIMInto's user management framework. They serve as a mechanism to categorize users based on their roles, responsibilities, and permissions within the system. Essentially, each Access Group corresponds to a distinct set of permissions or roles that dictate what actions its members can perform in the PIM, ranging from viewing and editing product data to managing user accounts and API keys.
