Brand Portal Settings

 
Brand Portals are online product catalogs the display product data stored in the PIM that is always up to date, accurate, and easy to share.  Unlike some PIM systems, changes to underlying product data in PIMInto data have an immediate effect on what is displayed in the brand portal. The brand portal settings determine how the brand portal is presented  to portal visitors.  Themes, logos links and other settings can be configured in the settings.

Primary brand portal settings are configured on this tab.

Settings tab where the page title and page meta data will be defined.  Fields like keywords and description are important fields for search engine results and indexing.

The settings tab contain information related to personalizing the brand portal.  Information such as the logo, address and contact email should be configured on this tab.  This information will be displayed to users accessing the brand portal.

Brand Portal Name

This is the name of the brand portal displayed in the PIM user management interface.

Template

This is the default color an layout template that should be used t generate the brand portal and part of the brand portal web address.

Slug or URL

6. Slug or URL
This is the part of the URL slug that is user definable and will be used to access the brand portal.

API Key

7. API Key
The combination of API Keys and Views assigned to an API key determines what product SKU's and product attributes are available for display. An API key must be assigned to each brand portal in order for products to be displayed in the brand portal. For more information about API key please see the help topic PIM API Keys.

Verify Key Button

8. Verify Key Button
The verify key button initiates an API request using the user provided API key.  If the request is successful then the API key is valid and can be used to render a brand portal for user access.  If the API key is invalid then an error will be raised and a valid API key will need to be provided before the brand portal can be rendered for access by end users.

The View or attribute map that should be used to display information in the brand portal.  Views are used to restrict SKU's and data that are available in the PIMS as well as map field values and labels. Show Categories

10. Show Categories
Show categories displays the product categories as the default product navigation method. For brand portals with a large number of products this value should be set to true.  The category navigation allows the user to select the category of products that they would like to view.

Show Filters

11. Show Filters
Brand portal category pages can show category specific filters to enrich the user experience.  Category filters requires that attributes are defined as filterable and that filters have been assigned in for specific categories.  Category filters allows the user to filter or limit the results that are displayed in the brand portable based on attribute values.

Show Child Products

12. Show Child Products
Show child products settings populates category pages with valid products contained in the child categories.  When this setting is OFF only sub categories and / or products that belong to the current category will be displayed.  Products that belong to sub categories will not be displayed until the user selects the specific sub category.

The brand portal's title that should be displayed on the browser Tab when the brand portal is accessed by a user and rendered in the HTML page meta data.

Keywords

The brand portal's key words that should be rendered in the keywords meta tag as part of the HTML page code.

The brand portal's description that should be rendered in the description meta tag as part of the HTML page code.

No Index

4. No Index
Sets the value for the NO INDEX meta tag in the HTML page code. A Value of TRUE instructs the search engines not to index this page.

No Follow

Sets the value for the NO FOLLOW meta tag in the HTML page code.  A Value of TRUE instructs the search engines not to follow links on this page.
 
 
 
 
Brand Portal Settings

Brand Portal Logo

1. Brand Portal Logo
Once a logo has been uploaded to a brand portal it will be displayed here.

Upload / Delete Logo Button

2. Upload / Delete Logo Button
The Upload / Delete logo button allows a logo to be deleted or uploaded from the local computer.  The logo will be displayed on the brand portal according to the instructions contained in the style sheets and CSS.

The email address that should be available on the brand portal footer depending on the selected style sheet settings for the brand portal.

The email address that should be available on the brand portal footer depending on the selected style sheet settings for the brand portal.

Phone Number

The phone number information that should be visible to the user browsing the brand portal, depending on the selected style sheet settings for the brand portal.

Instagram URL

The Instagram URL that will be used to navigate the user to the brand's associated Instagram account when the user clicks on the "Instagram Icon" under the social media section of the brand portal.

Facebook Link

The Facebook Page URL that will be used to navigate the user to the brand's associated Face Book page when the user clicks on the "Facebook Icon" under the social media section of the brand portal.

Linked In URL

The Linked In Page URL that will be used to navigate the user to the brand's associated Linked In page when the user clicks on the "Linked In Icon" under the social media section of the brand portal.

Twitter Link

The Twitter Handle URL that will be used to navigate the user to the brand's associated Twitter Page when the user clicks on the "Instagram Icon" under the social media section of the brand portal.
