Product Sheets

Product sheets, also known as Product Data Sheets (PDS), play an important role in the business and marketing. They are often presented in a single-page PDF format and are designed to provide a comprehensive summary of a product's performance, technical characteristics, components, materials, and use-cases. The creation of these sheets often adheres to specific client-specific, market, or regulatory requirements.

The purpose of product sheets is to provide a comprehensive product understanding: The primary goal of a product sheet is to offer buyers a complete understanding of the product. This includes its technical aspects, usage, and components. It can also serve as an internal resource, ensuring different departments within a company are aligned on product specifications.

The essential elements of a product sheet include the product name and model number, high-quality images, detailed product descriptions, components or ingredients, usability, care instructions, and technical specifications. This information should be presented in a clear, concise, and visually appealing manner to engage the audience effectively.

Product sheets are a valuable marketing and sales tool: Product sheets are invaluable in marketing and sales. They help in conveying the benefits of a product, backed by high-resolution images and persuasive language. This not only aids in increasing sales but also serves as a vital touch point in the buyer's journey.

PIMInto PIM provides a brand portal that allows user to access dynamically generated Product sheets and media assets.

Product Sheets are automatically generated in the Brand Product and are powered by the data that is stored in the Product Information Management (PIM) system.  Product attributes act as the building blocks for creating compelling product pages that resonate with customers, offering them a detailed and interactive understanding of the brand's offerings.

Designing Product Sheets is done by defining the Product Attributes that will be visible on a Product Sheet.  This is done using a view and assigning Attributes to appropriate Product Groups.  For more information about display product attributes on Product sheet pages on the brand portal please refer to the Supplemental Product Data help topic.

The brand portal and product sheets use standard colors, layouts and predefined themes.  The colors and layout and other settings can be selected using the Brand Portal Settings screen.  The brtand portal CSS can be overridden by applying Custom Brand Portal CSS changes.  This generally allows overriding of the layout and themes based on CSS changes.
