Scrum

An agile framework for developing, delivering, and sustaining complex products.

What is Scrum?

Scrum is a popular framework used in agile project management to foster collaboration, efficiency, and flexibility in developing software and other projects. It is based on a set of values, principles, and practices to enable teams to work together towards a common goal effectively. The core components of Scrum include Sprints, which are time-boxed iterations where work is completed; the Product Backlog, a prioritized list of features and tasks that need to be done; the Sprint Backlog, a subset of the Product Backlog selected for the current Sprint; and the Daily Stand-up, a quick meeting where team members update each other on progress and discuss any obstacles. Scrum roles include the Product Owner, who represents the stakeholders and sets the direction for the project; the Scrum Master, who facilitates and coaches the team on Scrum practices; and the Development Team, responsible for delivering the product increment. Through its iterative and incremental approach, Scrum promotes continuous improvement, adaptive planning, and delivering value to customers efficiently.
